One of Maryland’s favorite sons, Babe Ruth, once said, “The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don't play together, the club won't be worth a dime.”  The work of building a cohesive team is not measured in hours or even weeks, but rather in months, years, and even decades.  The League’s annual Convention is an important tool for your long term team building efforts. 

We invite you to join us in Charting a Course for Success at the ILFI/OBL Joint Convention, Sept. 8-11, at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore on the Inner Harbor. Together, members of the Illinois League and the OBL will discuss and debate the issues facing our industry. 

We know times are tough. That’s why we’ve worked hard to provide content that will deliver an immediate return on your investment. The convention brochure provides more details about the expert speakers we’ve invited to focus on critically important aspects of your institution’s future success.  

We are again offering discounts for multiple registrants from the same member and encourage you to make your hotel reservations as soon as possible. The deadline for room reservations at the special convention rate of just $159/night is August 10. 

Baltimore is the birthplace of our National Anthem – The Star Spangled Banner. The Inner Harbor, where our convention will be held, is central to museums, shopping, dining, Camden Yards and all of the city’s attractions. Baltimore will provide a wonderful venue for this knowledge gathering, information sharing and networking convention.  We hope you’ll join us.
