One of the basic functions of a trade association is to
provide accurate, timely information. The League supplies that information to
two different audiences -- its internal audience of member institutions, and the
external audience consisting of the media, government, community officials, and
the general public.
The financial institutions business has had more than its fair
share of time in the spotlight. The League has taken a positive, pro-active
stance for the business in contacts with the media throughout the state, by
publicizing industry information and positions, and by providing members with
information and tools to adapt to their own local public relations programs.
